NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say one person has been injured by gunfire during an armed robbery.

The Times-Picayune reports that a police news release says one victim received a small laceration from bullet fragments during the Sunday evening incident. Police did not say whether the person was hospitalized.

Police say two people were approached in the 6700 block of Chef Menteur Highway by an unknown masked man who demanded their property. Police say one victim was hurt after a struggle but did not say if the other victim was also wounded.
