FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say deputies shot a suspect who was fleeing on foot in northern Colorado, but there was no immediate word on the suspect’s condition.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were pursuing a reported stolen car on Friday when the car crashed southeast of Fort Collins.

The department says one deputy fired at the suspect when the suspect ran away. The suspect was taken to a hospital.



It was at least the second officer-involved shooting on the Front Range corridor on Friday. Police in the Denver suburb of Westminster say officers shot and killed a suspect who brandished a weapon while attmpting to flee.

Police say the suspect had several outstanding arrest warrants. They didn’t say what crimes he was accused of.

No names were released in either shooting.
