INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A blast of wintry weather has slowed travel in parts of southern Indiana, where several school districts called off classes.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for roughly the southern half of the state Thursday. Mostly light snowfall caused some slick roads, with the weather service saying up to 4 inches was possible in some spots.
The state highway department says it had more than 100 trucks out treating roads Thursday morning.
Dozens of school districts stayed closed for the day or delayed openings from the Evansville area to around Bloomington and Seymour.
