LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Light freezing rain followed by light snow is possible across Arkansas as winter weather systems move across the state.
The National Weather Service says freezing drizzle is possible late Wednesday night through Thursday morning along and south of Interstate 40. The weather service says precipitation will be light, but will freeze on contact because of sub-freezing temperatures.
Widespread travel issues are not expected, but there could be slick spots on bridges, overpasses and elevated roadways. The precipitation should end by mid- to late Thursday morning.
Another system will bring the chance of light snow later Thursday through Friday morning over north Arkansas, then another system could bring more light snow Friday night to central and south Arkansas.
Snow accumulations are expected to range from a dusting to less than one inch.
