SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Northern Utah is digging out from another snow dump that caused headaches for commuters and cancelations at schools.
KSL-TV reports the school district in the ski town of Park City called its first snow day in 15 years on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says the town got 15 inches of snow, followed closely by the Utah County town of Springville. Ski resorts reported more than two feet in some spots.
That storm comes after another snowy morning on Monday. The Utah Highway Patrol says it responded to 177 accidents on New Year’s Day, most of them between Salt Lake and Utah counties.
Three of those accidents involved troopers.
With more snow forecast for the rest of the week, officials are urging drivers to slow down and use caution.
