Washington Wizards guard John Wall was named the KIA NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for December on Tuesday, just one day after he earned the league’s weekly honor.

It was the second career monthly award for Wall, who shares the honor with the Houston Rockets’ James Harden for the Western Conference. Wall led the Eastern Conference in assists per game at 10.7 (second in the NBA for December), while averaging 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and a league-leading 2.67 steals per game. He is currently the only player in the NBA this season to average at least 23.0 points, 10.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals and is one of only three guards in the league to average a point-assist double-double.

Behind Wall, the Wizards were 10-5 in December for the league’s third-best mark in that period. Wall is averaging a career-best 23.4 points and 2.3 steals per game to go with 4.5 rebounds per contest.
