SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Utah Transit Authority expects to continue using buses to bridge gaps in its light rail system through Saturday while crews restore power for service in downtown Salt Lake City.

The authority also says people should consider alternate transportation to Utah Jazz and University of Utah basketball games.

The problems began Friday night and partial service was restored Saturday morning.

UTA’s Remi says it’s expected that full service will be restored by Sunday morning but that repairs have been taking longer than anticipated.
