FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - A winter storm warning remains in effect in Arizona’s high country with hazardous driving conditions reported on Interstates 17 and 40 and other highways.

The National Weather Service says snow and rain showers continue Saturday, making highways slippery with snow and reducing visibility.

Authorities report hazardous conditions on I-17 south of Flagstaff and on I-40 east and west of the city.

The Arizona Department of Transportation recommended using chains or four-wheel drive vehicles on routes to Flagstaff.

In southern Arizona, high winds and rain are reported in Cochise County and Mount Lemmon near Tucson had over 12 inches of snow on the ground and drifts up to 3 feet.
