LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A Laguna Beach man whose home was full of guns has been arrested on suspicion of threatening the City Council after warning online that he planned to remove “tyrants” from office.
Michael Ross was arrested last week and later freed.
Ross tells KCBS-TV (https://cbsloc.al/2jFQNiO) that his Craigslist post was a publicity stunt for his music video and he’s peaceful.
The post said Ross was going to wear a camouflage ghillie suit to confront the council. It included photos of him in camouflage with a rifle and ended: “Hahahahahaha, you are going down now.”
Police say they found six rifles, a handgun and more than 100 boxes of ammunition in his home.
Ross’s 75-year-old father, Robert, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon with firearms. He remains jailed.
