PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Just over 1,000 Maine homes and businesses remain without power three days after a strong nor’easter brought heavy snow, powerful winds, thunder and lightning to northern New England.

More than 100,000 Maine homes and businesses were without electricity at the storm’s peak.

Central Maine Power reports 785 outages as of Sunday morning, most in Kennebec County. Emera Maine reports 221 outages.
