SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) - A snowplow in New Jersey burst into flames at it cleared roads during a morning storm.

Secaucus Police Capt. Dennis Miller tells NJ.com (https://bit.ly/2k8BVoW ) the driver noticed fire coming from the city plow’s engine around 8:45 a.m. Thursday. He says it quickly spread and flames shot several feet above the truck’s roof.

The fire department responded and quickly doused the blaze.



Seven to 10 inches fell on Secaucus before the storm tapered off around noon.

The fast-moving storm on Thursday hit the northern part of the state first before pushing south.
