RED LION, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police says it’s investigating a crash involving three vehicles in Red Lion in which one person died.

State Police said in a statement that the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

State Police say the driver of a Ford Escape failed to slow or stop when vehicles in front of him were stopped at a red light. The Ford Escape struck a Honda Civic which in turn struck a box truck.

State Police say the driver of the Ford Escape was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. State Police identified the Ford Escape’s driver as 61-year-old George Woodlaver of Chester, Pennsylvania. State Police say preliminary reports suggest that Woodlaver “may have had the onset of an acute medical condition prior to the crash.”
