LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A federal appeals court panel has scheduled oral arguments for next month in the bribery case of former judge Michael Maggio.

A three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis set arguments for March 8 in Maggio’s appeal. Maggio admitted in a plea agreement to accepting campaign donations from a nursing home company owner, then reducing a jury award against that company by millions of dollars.

Maggio tried unsuccessfully last year to withdraw his guilty plea. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison but has been allowed to remain free pending his appeal.

The appeals court issued an order Thursday scheduling the oral arguments.
