BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) - Sheriff’s authorities say a Beaver Dam man died after fleeing from a highway crash with another person.
Dodge County sheriff’s officials say both men were seriously injured when their car hit a utility pole near Beaver Dam on Sunday. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the car hit the pole at the base and it tumbled over on top of the vehicle. Both men ran about a-half mile to the home of the driver.
Authorities say once they reached the house, one of the men became unresponsive and died. The other man was taken to Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Investigators say alcohol was likely involved in the crash.
