SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in northwest Arkansas say two sets of human remains have been found in an area where police were searching for a missing mother and her toddler daughter, but no positive identification has been made yet.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office says the bodies were found over the weekend near Lookout Tower Road near Siloam Springs. Chief Deputy Meyer Gilbert says the bodies were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsies and identification.

Gilbert tells the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/2lyUx5Q ) that the bodies were found about a mile and a half from where searchers found the van of a missing woman, 35-year-old Carol Davidson.

Davidson and her 22-month-old daughter, RoseMarry, were last seen in November.
