COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) - A drunk driver who killed a father and his two young daughters in a head-on crash in northern Idaho has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

The Coeur d’Alene Press reports (https://bit.ly/2kVnJjT) that 28-year-old Ryan J. Turner received the sentence Tuesday in 1st District Court and must serve one year before becoming eligible for parole.

Turner pleaded guilty in October to three felony counts of vehicular manslaughter for the September 2015 crash that killed 33-year-old Mathew-Michael T. Baroni, 8-year-old Madilyn Baroni, and 6-year-old Molly Baroni.

Turner had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 when he drove his Chevy Silverado in the wrong lane on U.S. Highway 95 and crashed into the minivan carrying the Baronis.

Family members of those killed say the sentence wasn’t long enough.
