CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Officials have identified the stabbing victim who died on a South Carolina island.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office said William Kennedy died after he was stabbed at a home early Wednesday at Johns Island.
Sheriff’s deputies say Kennedy was in bed when the homeowner allowed another man and a woman to enter the house around 3:30 a.m.
Thirty-four-year-old Aloysius Hunter of Johns Island was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder and possession of a knife during a violent crime.
Deputies found Kennedy on the floor in a back bedroom. Authorities were told the two men knew each other.
A sheriff’s report said Hunter went into the bedroom and crawled on top of Kennedy and stabbed him repeatedly.
