PROVO, Utah (AP) - An investigation couldn’t confirm a sexual assault claim made against a Utah county commissioner, but found that he was demeaning and intimidating toward the woman who lodged the complaint and other employees.
The Daily Herald in Provo reports that the Utah County Republican Party is calling for commissioner Greg Graves to resign following the Thursday night release of an investigation that was done by an outside attorney for the county commission. Fellow commissioners have already asked him to quit.
Graves didn’t respond to a request for comment. Earlier this week Graves decried the accusations and said he’s disappointed people are “using the horrific news of the day to attack” him.
A county employee filed a complaint against Graves outlining incidents of inappropriate behavior and sexual comments.
