NEPHI, Utah (AP) - Bond is set at $1 million cash for a man suspected of shooting at police officers in Utah County.

Arturo Ray Gallemore-Jimenez was released from a hospital and booked Saturday into the Salt Lake County Jail.

He’s being held on suspicion of attempted aggravated murder, possession of a firearm by a restricted person and failure to stop at the command of police.

Police say the incident began around 6 p.m. Wednesday in Nephi when police were called about a gun being fired at a truck stop.

The county Sheriff’s Office and several other police departments located the suspect and attempted to make a traffic stop in Springville when Gallemore-Jimenez allegedly fired at officers.

Police followed him as he was driving about 30 mph with two flat tires before being arrested.
