SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont family support organization in South Burlington has received a $3 million grant to go toward its efforts.

The nonprofit Lund says it will use the grant to develop and implement the Vermont Family Recovery Project. Vermont Public Radio reports the service will be available to families impacted by drug abuse in Burlington and Newport to help them stay together.

To be eligible for the program, families will have to have an open family support case with the state, a parent with a substance abuse issue and children at risk of being removed from the home.
