SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Scottsdale police are searching for a vehicle that fatally hit a young man.

Police spokesman Sgt. Ben Hoster identified the victim of a possible hit-and-run Friday as 22-year-old Westin L’Heureux.

According to investigators, a car struck L’Heureux just before 11 p.m. Wednesday near 72nd Place and Shea Boulevard.



The car left without stopping.

L’Heureux was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses say the vehicle was either a van or SUV.

Police say it is possible the driver did not realize the car had struck someone.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Scottsdale police.
