LONDON, Ky. (AP) - A man accused of beating a woman in the head with a spiked club has been arrested.
WYMT-TV reports that Laurel County sheriff’s deputies say they were called to a house in London on Saturday by a woman who said 46-year-old William Baker had assaulted her the night before using a wooden object with embedded nails.
The victim told deputies she was knocked out and woke up having seizures. Deputies told WYMT-TV that she had seizures while the deputies were there, and they had to call an ambulance. Her condition is currently unknown.
Deputies later found Baker and arrested him after a brief scuffle. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
