PHOENIX (AP) - The Latest on two dead bodies being found at a park (all times local):

5 p.m.

Phoenix police say two people whose bodies were found at a city park were fatally shot and the deaths are being investigated as homicides.



They say the 28-year-old man and 23-year-old woman found Wednesday morning had signs of trauma and were declared dead at the scene.

Police say the names of the two victims are being withheld until relatives can be notified.

They say a passer-by found the bodies on the ground near a baseball field’s bleachers and that the passer-by contacted a parks worker who called police.

Phoenix police say the deaths of two people whose bodies were found at a city park are being investigated as homicides.

Sgt. Alan Pfohl says the man and woman found dead Wednesday morning had signs of trauma but that the medical examiner will have to determine the cause or causes of death. He says they haven’t been identified.

Pfohl says a passer-by found the bodies on the ground near a baseball field’s bleachers and that the passer-by contacted a parks worker who called police.

Phoenix police are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found at a city park.

Sgt. Alan Phohl says information on the circumstances of the deaths or the two people involved isn’t immediately available but he says one is reported to be male and the other female.

The bodies were found at Prado Park near South 19th Avenue and West Southern Avenue.
