SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Heavy rain flooded streets and a city park and caused some road closures in Sioux Falls.

The National Weather Service says up to 6 inches of rain fell on the south side of Sioux Falls before ending Monday afternoon. The north side of Sioux Falls saw a couple of inches of rain.

The rain caused several intersections in Sioux Falls to close because of flooding. Spencer Park on the city’s south side also was flooded.

While the rain has ended, city officials cautioned drivers that missing manhole covers and debris may still be on roadways.
