WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - An academic boot camp at St. Edmond’s Academy in Wilmington, Delaware, helps students prepare to go back to school after summer vacation.

The News Journal reports (https://delonline.us/2vUJhUs ) that the program runs over the course of a week. It prepares students with intensive training on reading, writing and studying.

Andrew Ellis, director of summer camps at St. Edmonds Academy, says the program an opportunity for kids to remain “sharp before the school year begins.”



He says the camp ended up with 44 students signing up.

Fifth graders were taught in one class. The remaining sixth and seven grades were grouped into another.
