PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Rhode Island man has agreed to plead guilty to federal charges in connection with a drug lab that caused an industrial building fire two years ago.

WPRI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2vGOIGm ) Christopher White signed an agreement Monday stating he would plead guilty to one count of endangering human life while illegally manufacturing a controlled substance. Prosecutors agreed to dismiss other charges.

Federal authorities allege White was one of the operators of a drug lab that used a highly flammable liquid to turn marijuana into butane hash oil.

Prosecutors say investigators found butane tanks, tubes filled with marijuana and other items after the 2015 blaze.

Authorities say White’s indoor plant-growing equipment company was one of two tenants in the building.

White’s attorney didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.
