FORSYTH, Ga. (AP) - Two parents in Georgia have been charged with murder in connection with their infant son’s death.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that 8-month-old Sanchez Dyron Ussery Jr. died early Thursday at Monroe County Hospital. An investigation led to the arrests of 25-year-old Sanchez Dyron Ussery Sr. and 23-year-old Latorrica Allen. Both are charged with murder and cruelty to children.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Lawson Bittick said in the statement the infant had visible bruising on his chest and stomach.
The child’s body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.
It’s unclear if the parents have attorneys.
