Ousted Fox News host Bill O’Reilly debuted an online news show on his personal website Wednesday night.
The 30-minute show debuted exclusively to paid subscribers on billoreilly.com and was made available to the non-paying public on Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter said.
During the show, titled “No Spin News,” named after his podcast, Mr. O’Reilly spoke with radio and TV host Michael Smerconish via Skype about the threat of North Korea. He later spoke with syndicated columnist Ruben Navarrette via Skype about California’s so-called “sanctuary state” bill.
Mr. Smerconish told The Hollywood Reporter that he thinks Mr. O’Reilly will “attract a sizable audience” with the new format.
Mr. O’Reilly made it clear on Twitter that Wednesday’s show was a prototype.
“The O’Reilly Factor” and 20 years of broadcasting at Fox came to a halt for Mr. O’Reilly in April amid reports that he legally settled several sexual harassment claims.
