TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Heavy rain from overnight could lead to flooding in parts of New Jersey.

The National Weather Service lifted a flood advisory Tuesday for the central and coastal parts of the state but says flooding is still a threat in poorly drained areas.

There’s also a chance for severe thunderstorms in the afternoon, but the main hazard will be strong winds.

High winds are also expected off the coast and small boat operators are urged to avoid navigating.
