GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Police in northern Colorado say a man who crashed his truck into a retaining wall had been shot to death and was likely the victim of road rage.
The Greeley Tribune reports https://goo.gl/68IFvO 33-year-old Alberto Ruiz Jr. was driving while working for an asphalt company on a nearby job when he crashed Thursday morning. He died at the scene.
Witnesses said they heard an explosion just before the crash and saw a light-colored pickup speeding away. Greeley police Lt. Adam Turk confirmed that Ruiz had been shot.
Ruiz, who lived with his family in the Greeley area, grew up in the El Paso, Texas suburb of San Elizario.
Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the shooting.
