TALBOTTON, Ga. (AP) - An emergency official in central Georgia says three homes were damaged and one person suffered a minor injury when a possible tornado uprooted trees and brought down power lines in Talbot County.

Leigh Ann Erenheim, emergency management director for Talbot County, said a powerful storm tore through the county 90 miles south of Atlanta on Thursday afternoon as most of middle Georgia was under a tornado watch.

Erenheim says a tree fell onto a mobile home and a woman inside suffered a sprained ankle while she was trying to get outside. She said two other homes and two outbuildings also had storm damage.

It’s not confirmed whether a tornado touched down. Erenheim said the storm left a path through the trees that “looks like somebody went through with a lawnmower.”
