LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A University of Wyoming student claims he was injured by police who took him out of a classroom.
Student Garret VonKrosigk tells the Laramie Boomerang (https://bit.ly/2pmbjI6 ) police took him out of a classroom after he suffered a seizure in the hallway. UW Director of Institutional Communications Chad Baldwin says the police fetched the student after he returned to his classroom before emergency personnel had cleared him.
He says under Wyoming Title 25, officials are allowed to temporarily detain or involuntarily hospitalize individuals who might be a threat to themselves or others.
VonKrosigk claims his removal was involuntary. VonKrosigk says emergency personnel told him he could go back to class if he could correctly answer four questions, which he remembers doing. He says he suffered a bruising and a broken wrist as a result.
