BALDWYN, Miss. (AP) - A northeast Mississippi school system is breaking ground on a new vocational education facility.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2pe1JGH ) that the Baldwyn School District on Thursday held a groundbreaking ceremony at the future site of the Baldwyn Career Advancement Center.
Baldwyn School District Superintendent Jason McKay said he hoped he was preparing to lay the foundation for more than just a building. McKay said the district and school board have been working for more than a year to make the project a reality.
The district passed a $2 million bond issue in January to fund the facility.
