AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine’s Republican governor has announced that a former assistant district attorney will serve as his new chief legal counsel.
Brent Davis takes up a position vacated by Avery Day, who stepped down in December to establish a private law practice.
Davis is currently serving on LePage’s judicial selection committee.
He previously worked as first assistant district attorney in Somerset and Kennebec County. Since 2006, Davis has focused on litigation in Somerset Superior Court.
Before law school, Davis worked as a police officer in Rockport and a pipe welder with Cianbro Corporation.
