SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A sloppy mix of snow, sleet and rain is creating dangerous travel conditions across the lower half of South Dakota.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation says that roads are partially covered with scattered blowing snow Monday with slippery conditions caused by slush and rain from Harding County south to Rapid City and west to the Sioux Falls area.

KELO-TV (https://bit.ly/2nZKK6X ) reports several schools in western and central South Dakota will be opening later as crews work to clear the roads.
