Coast Guard: Body on Wisconsin beach may be missing sailor

MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says the body of a missing sailor may have been found on a beach in Manitowoc County.

The body was found Tuesday near private property near the town of Clover, south of Manitowoc. A medical examiner is at the beach, which is blocked off.

The Coast Guard tells WBAY-TV (https://bit.ly/2dhTkfb ) the body may be that of a sailor missing from a 10-foot sailboat that capsized off Red Arrow Beach two weeks ago. The man sailing the boat could not be found.

Crews spent 13 hours searching Lake Michigan for the missing man, but the Coast Guard called off the search.
