SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - A helicopter air ambulance service serving Sheridan Memorial Hospital has left Sheridan.

Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty says Air Methods, which ran Wyoming LifeFlight, left Sheridan for financial reasons.

According to the Sheridan Press (https://tinyurl.com/j9frers ), alternative air medical providers are available in the region and ground transportation is also ready to transport trauma cases between hospitals and respond to trauma scenes.

The company did not return phone calls seeking comment.
