TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Motorists are seeing higher prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.02, up 4 cents from last week. That’s also higher than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $1.96.
The price increase comes after OPEC announced a preliminary deal last week that would limit oil production. That caused an increase in oil prices.
The national average gas price on Friday was $2.26, up 4 cents from last week. But that’s still lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.30.
