LOS ANGELES (AP) - Fall is taking the weekend off in Southern California as Santa Ana winds bring a return of summerlike warmth.
The National Weather Service says high temperatures will take a 5 to 10 degree jump, and the warm and dry offshore flow will raise fire danger.
The strongest Santa Anas will be focused on the mountains and valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, with gusts as high as 45 mph through Friday and weaker winds on Saturday.
