WASHINGTON (AP) - Judge Robert E. Morin is being sworn in as the Chief Judge of D.C. Superior Court.

Morin is being sworn in Friday afternoon.

A Superior Court judge since 1996, he graduated from the University of Massachusetts and received his law degree from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. He has also taught a class on evidence at Georgetown’s law school since 1986.



Morin replaces Lee F. Satterfield as chief judge. Satterfield had held the position since 2008.
