OGDEN, Utah (AP) - A motorcyclist has been critically injured in a collision with a vehicle in Ogden.

Police in Ogden say the accident happened Saturday afternoon in the area of 12th Street and Washington Bouleveard.

Lt. Kevin Cottrell says the 49-year-old man on the motorcycle went to the side of the road to bypass traffic between the right lane and the curb.

The motorcycle rider then struck a sedan that was turning into a parking lot.

The impact threw him from his motorcycle.

He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Cottrell says he was not wearing a helmet.

The sedan was pushed into another car leaving the lot. But the occupants of both vehicles were not injured.
