PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities in western Pennsylvania say one person is in custody in a shooting in Pittsburgh that killed a man and wounded a woman.
The Public Safety Department said the two were walking in the Marshall Shadeland neighborhood shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday when they were approached by a male they knew.
Officials said words were exchanged and the male fired several rounds, hitting the 28-year-old man at least twice in the head. He was pronounced dead at Allegheny General Hospital.
The 29-year-old woman was reported in stable condition at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Officials said a “person of interest” was in custody but no charges were immediately filed.
