Man shot in car in Safeway parking lot

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Detectives are investigating after a suspect walked up to a man sitting in his car and shot him.

KOMO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2eht9W5 ) that the shooting happened Saturday in a Safeway parking lot in Tacoma.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says the victim was severely wounded and rushed to a local hospital.

Authorities say the suspected shooter was wearing a hoodie. They plan to review surveillance video for more information.

Authorities are calling the shooting a targeted attack.
