GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - The University of Northern Colorado is set to break ground on a new $74 million building this weekend.
The Greeley Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2ezrUA0 ) that the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Campus Commons building will be held Saturday. The event is open to the public.
The facility will serve as a student support and welcome center.
UNC says it has passed the halfway mark for its fundraising goal of $12 million for the new building. The university will take on more than $25 million in debt for the project and the state is pitching in $38 million.
