LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Two Army helicopter pilots who flew combat missions in Vietnam and a World War I engineer have been chosen for induction into the Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/2eyawz3 ) reports that the inductees are Jonesboro native Lynn C. Hooper, David Wallace of Leachville and the late Jesse Vincent.

Hooper, who rose to the rank of brigadier general, has received numerous medals for his service, including two Silver Stars.

Wallace, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, is now a state representative.

Vincent, a native of Charleston, Arkansas, was a self-taught engineer who worked on World War I aircraft. He died in 1962 at the age 82.

The induction ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 17 in Little Rock. Event proceeds will fund five $2,000 scholarships for students studying aviation at Ozarka Community College or Henderson State University.
