NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 63-year-old Russian native was found dead with head injuries at the Russian Consulate in New York City.

Police say the man was found unconscious and unresponsive on Tuesday morning inside the consulate in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

Police say the man suffered face and head trauma that may have stemmed from a fall during a medical episode.

Emergency responders declared him dead at the scene. The medical examiner will determine what caused his death.

The man’s identity is being withheld until his family can be notified.

The consulate says in a Facebook post that the man was a security guard.

Police are investigating.
