CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - The University of Central Arkansas and its next president have agreed on a five-year contract that will initially pay the incoming leader over $347,000 a year.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/2f8BfOR ) reports that the contract between the UCA board of trustees and Houston Davis was released Thursday.

Davis now recently served as interim president at Kennesaw State University, and he previously worked as executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer at the University System of Georgia. He has also served as vice chancellor for academic affairs at Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.



Davis will be replacing UCA president Tom Courtway, who is stepping down into a teaching role in the College of Business. His salary was $242,400.
