LYNN, Mass. (AP) - A Gloucester man has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of a 38-year-old man in Lynn.

Twenty-nine-year-old Sean Chandler was arraigned Wednesday in Lynn in the killing of Donald Yancy. He faces other firearm-related charges and was held without bail. His attorney told The Daily Item he had no comment.

Police say officers responded to a Lynn apartment last Friday and found Yancy with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Chandler was arrested on Tuesday.

The Essex County District Attorney’s Office says the victim and suspect knew each other. Authorities say witnesses reported the pair had a disagreement before the shooting.

Chandler is due back in court on Dec. 14. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
