KELLY, La. (AP) - The National Weather Service in Shreveport says the Caldwell Parish Sheriff’s Office has reported a tornado near Kelly.
Meteorologist Mario Valverde (val-VER-dee) says there also were reports Tuesday of fallen trees and golf ball-sized hail in the area. He says the tornado was reported about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.
He says a survey crew will go to the area Wednesday to check whether the damage is from a tornado or straight-line winds, since that sort of damage also was reported.
