McNEAL, Ariz. (AP) - A webcam showing migratory sandhill cranes in their winter home in southern Arizona is back.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is again live-streaming cranes on their wintering grounds at Whitewater Draw Wildlife Area near McNeal in southeastern Arizona.

Watchable wildlife program manager Randy Babb says the live-streaming camera (https://goo.gl/P1dfb9 ) provides the public with “an unfiltered view” of the wildlife.

Sandhill cranes visit southern Arizona every year, and the live stream is offered from early November when cranes first start to arrive through March or early April when they head off to northern nesting grounds.

The department says the best time to view the cranes is just before and after sunrise before the birds head off to feed. They generally return to Whitewater Draw in the late morning.
